Sarah Pelham

Position:
Physiotherapist

Sarah graduated from AUT in 2008 with a Bachelor of Health Science (Physiotherapy) and has since completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Health Sciences, along with postgraduate training in Hand Therapy.

She has gained extensive experience working in private practice across New Zealand, Australia, and the UK. Since returning to New Zealand in 2012, Sarah has worked as a musculoskeletal and occupational physiotherapist, developing a particular passion for helping people recover from injury, return to work, and get back to the activities they enjoy. Throughout her career, she has also held clinical education and mentorship roles, supporting the professional development of other physiotherapists and promoting evidence-based assessment and treatment practices.

Sarah takes a whole-person approach to rehabilitation, combining hands-on manual therapy with tailored exercise programmes and movement assessment to address not only the current injury but also underlying movement patterns that may contribute to future problems. She believes that clear communication and education are essential to successful rehabilitation, empowering clients to understand their condition, take an active role in their recovery, and reduce the risk of re-injury.

Outside of the clinic, Sarah enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring the outdoors, and embracing new adventures. Whether it's trail running, snowboarding, or discovering somewhere new, she's always keen to get outside and give almost anything a go.
