Dr. Iain Wood, DC, graduated from Palmer College (USA) with honors in 1996 and returned to New Zealand to begin practice in the Auckland CBD. Dr. Wood is one of New Zealand’s sought after sports chiropractors as he has worked with many of New Zealand’s elite athletes and sporting teams. After 16 years of practice Iain saw a further need for an integrative approach to health, in one central location, which led him to establish the Advanced Health Group in 2014. The goal: a team of highly trained and experienced chiropractors, acupuncturists and massage therapists working together holistically.
Iain has been involved as the team chiropractor in three America’s cup challenges with team Prada, and works closely with many of New Zealand's elite athletes and sporting teams.
Iain was a professional sportsman having played rugby union and rugby league at the top level so understands the needs of the athlete to perform at an optimal level.
The focus of the clinic is to enhance optimal performance whether it is the sporting athlete or business athlete and is passionate about helping others achieve their goals.
Prior to becoming a chiropractor Iain worked in the financial markets after completing his Business degree from Massey University.
Iain is married and has two vibrant healthy and active daughters.
